Default My thoughts on Guild Wars so far and a few questions

Well after finally getting a name (thank god ) i got the chance to start my adventure, i find the concepts of guild wars a little different from the conventional mmorpg but i guess i will get use to this over time.

Anyone else find it very similar to Phantasy star online when it comes to the game style, how you make your groups in the lobby then enter the game to adventure and do quests?

I love the idea of being able to just move from town to town, i can see this being very helpful in later game

Oh yeah and does anyone know where i get armour as i only seem to get booty and weapons drop from the creeps that i encounter so far,

Ryu

You can get it from quests in Pre-Searing, which is I assume where you are at. Later on there will be Armorers who will craft it for you for a fee and some components which you get from salvaging.

You can get armors from collectors in Pre-Searing. Don't worry about armor early on. If you can't find them all, just move on to the real part of the game (Post-Searing).

Also collectors have certain pieces. I've noticed that within the past few weeks the items they've been giving are getting much better. Are they randomly placing more of them with each patch?

I think they've also rearranged the location for armor pieces as well... I remember getting my Ele boots from the collector next to Ranger Nente a few weeks ago but last night I checked he wasn't giving Ele boots...

I recently arrived in Amnoon Oasis and upgraded my armor and needed to go to an artisan to get some parchment that I didn't have. I fast travelled to Sardelic Sanitarium and walked out to Daved. After putzing around in Old Ascalon I saw for the first time a collector near the place where the drake was presearing in the river. He had a pretty nice artifact... he wasn't there when I first got through the searing.
